Ticket Terms

Effective Date: October 2, 2026

Please read these Ticket Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully. They affect your legal rights, and Section 13 requires most disputes to be resolved by individual arbitration and waives class actions, unless you opt out.

1. Who We Are

The Basketball Festival events (each, an "Event") are produced and operated, and tickets are sold, by TBF Event Management, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("Event Producer," "we," or "us"). "The Basketball Festival" name, logos, and related intellectual property are owned by The Basketball Festival, LLC ("Brand Owner") and used by Event Producer under license. Brand Owner does not produce, operate, or sell tickets to any Event.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms apply to every ticket, wristband, pass, or other physical or digital entry method for an Event ("Tickets"), whether bought from us or our authorized ticketing partner. By buying, accepting, or using a Ticket, or by entering the Event venue, you ("you" or "Ticket Holder") agree to these Terms. Credentials issued to media and staff are governed by separate credential terms.

If you buy Tickets for others, you must tell them about these Terms. A parent or guardian who brings or buys a Ticket for a minor accepts these Terms on the minor's behalf.

The version of these Terms in effect when you buy your Ticket applies to that Ticket. We may update these Terms for future purchases by posting a new version on the Event website. Safety and venue policies may be updated at any time before the Event, as described in Section 6.

3. Revocable License

A Ticket is a revocable license to attend the Event, not a property right. We may revoke it and deny entry or remove you, without refund, if you violate these Terms or any Event or venue policy.

4. Purchases, Transfers, and Resale

Tickets are non-transferable. Each Ticket is issued in the name of the person who purchased it (the "Purchaser") and may be used only by the Purchaser [and the guests included in the Purchaser's order, who must enter together with the Purchaser].

Name and ID must match. The Purchaser must present valid government-issued photo identification at entry, and the name on the identification must match the name on the Ticket. Entry will be denied, without refund, if the names do not match.

No resale or transfer. Tickets may not be sold, resold, transferred, gifted, or reassigned to anyone, by any method, and name changes will not be made [except as we may permit in writing at our sole discretion]. Tickets also may not be used for any commercial or promotional purpose, including contests, sweepstakes, advertising, sponsorships, or giveaways, without our prior written consent.

Invalid Tickets. Any Ticket that has been resold, transferred, or obtained from anyone other than us or our authorized ticketing partner is void and will not be honored, and no refund will be issued. We are not responsible for Tickets obtained from unauthorized sources.

Purchase limits. We may limit the number of Tickets per person and cancel orders we reasonably believe were placed using bots, fraud, or in violation of purchase limits.

5. Refunds, Cancellations, and Changes

All sales are final except as stated below or required by law.

  • Cancellation. If an Event is cancelled and not rescheduled, we will refund the face value of your Ticket [plus fees] to the original method of payment.

  • Postponement. If an Event is postponed or rescheduled, your Ticket will be valid for the new date. [If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a refund within [30] days after the new date is announced.]

  • Program changes. Teams, players, guests, game formats, schedules, start times, and other Event details may change. Changes to participants or program are not grounds for a refund.

  • Weather and stoppages. If an Event is interrupted or shortened, including for weather or safety, after [it begins], no refund will be issued.

We are not responsible for travel, lodging, or other expenses related to an Event, including if it is cancelled, postponed, or changed.

6. Venue Policies, Conduct, and Search

You must follow all applicable laws, venue rules, and Event safety, security, and health policies, which may be updated before the Event and posted on the Event website. You and your belongings [and vehicle] may be searched as a condition of entry, and refusing a search may result in denial of entry.

We may deny entry to, or remove without refund, anyone whose conduct we reasonably consider unsafe, disruptive, abusive, or in violation of these Terms or venue policies, including anyone who enters the playing court, interferes with players or officials, or is visibly intoxicated.

7. Prohibited Items

Prohibited items include glass containers, weapons of any kind, fireworks, drones, laser pointers, skateboards and scooters, bags larger than the posted size limit, illegal substances, outside food and beverages [except as permitted], and any item Event or venue staff consider unsafe or disruptive. Prohibited items may be confiscated, and we are not responsible for them.

8. Photography, Video, and Recording

  • Personal, non-commercial photos and short video clips taken with a mobile phone or small personal camera are permitted.

  • Professional equipment, including detachable-lens cameras, tripods, monopods, drones, and broadcast equipment, is prohibited without our written authorization.

  • Live streaming, broadcasting, or recording of complete games or substantial portions of the Event is prohibited without our written approval.

  • Photos and video taken at the Event may not be used for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.

9. Use of Your Image and Likeness

The Event is a public event that will be photographed, filmed, recorded, broadcast, and streamed. By attending, you grant Event Producer, Brand Owner, and their media partners and licensees the right to photograph, record, and use your image, likeness, voice, and actions as captured at the Event, in any media, worldwide, without compensation, in connection with the Event, its broadcasts and recordings, and the promotion of The Basketball Festival. We will not use your name, or use your likeness to suggest that you personally endorse a product or sponsor, without your separate consent.

10. Intellectual Property and Attendee Content

"The Basketball Festival" name, logos, trademarks, and designs are owned by Brand Owner. Official broadcasts, recordings, photographs, and other content produced by or for us are owned by Event Producer or Brand Owner. You may not use any of them without prior written consent.

You keep ownership of the photos and videos you take at the Event, and you may use them for personal, non-commercial purposes, including on your personal social media. If you tag, submit, or post content using our accounts or official hashtags, you grant Event Producer and Brand Owner a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to repost, display, and share that content in connection with the Event and The Basketball Festival, with credit to you where practical.

11. Assumption of Risk and Release

Attending a live basketball event involves inherent risks, including being struck by balls, players, or equipment, especially in courtside seats; crowd-related incidents; exposure to communicable illness; and loss of or damage to property. You voluntarily assume all such risks.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Event Producer, Brand Owner, the venue, and their respective affiliates, members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, volunteers, and agents (the "Released Parties") from all claims for injury, illness, loss, or damage arising from your attendance at the Event, including claims based on a Released Party's ordinary negligence. This release does not apply to claims arising from a Released Party's gross negligence, recklessness, or willful misconduct, or to any liability that cannot be released under applicable law.

If you are a California resident, you waive the protections of California Civil Code Section 1542, which provides: "A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party."

12. Medical Assistance

If you are ill or injured at the Event, you authorize Event and venue staff to obtain emergency medical care for you, and you are responsible for any resulting costs. Medical personnel at the Event may be independent contractors, and the Released Parties are not responsible for their acts or omissions, except as required by law.

13. Arbitration and Class Action Waiver

Informal resolution first. Before starting arbitration, you and we agree to try to resolve any dispute informally by sending a written notice describing the dispute (to us at the email in Section 16) and negotiating in good faith for at least 30 days.

Binding arbitration. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms, a Ticket, or an Event will be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act, administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitrator decides all questions about whether a dispute must be arbitrated. Arbitration will take place in the county where you live or where the Event occurred, or by video or written submissions, as you choose. We will pay AAA filing and arbitrator fees beyond what you would pay to file in court, as required by AAA rules.

Exceptions. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court. Either party may seek injunctive relief in court to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property.

Class action waiver. You and we may bring claims only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative proceeding. If this waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim must proceed in court, not arbitration.

Mass filings. If 25 or more similar arbitration demands are filed by or with the help of the same law firm or organization, they will be administered in batches under AAA's mass arbitration procedures.

Opt-out. You may opt out of this Section by emailing legal@thebasketballfestival.com within 30 days of your first Ticket purchase with your full name, address, order number, and a statement that you reject arbitration. Opting out does not affect the rest of these Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the Federal Arbitration Act and the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any claim not subject to arbitration will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, except where applicable law gives you the right to sue in your home jurisdiction.

15. General

  • Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Released Parties' total liability to you for any claim relating to a Ticket or an Event will not exceed the face value of your Ticket, and they are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, including for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

  • Commercial activity. No sponsorship, vending, sampling, or promotional activity may be conducted at the Event without our written approval.

  • Ticketing partners. Tickets bought through an authorized ticketing partner are also subject to that partner's terms and privacy policy. If they conflict with these Terms, these Terms control as between you and us.

  • Brand Owner. Brand Owner is an intended third-party beneficiary of Sections 9 through 15 and may enforce them directly, but has no obligations to you under these Terms.

  • Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including weather, natural disasters, public health emergencies, government orders, labor disputes, or venue unavailability. Refunds in those cases are governed by Section 5.

  • Severability. If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, the venue policies, and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about your Ticket.
