Press Terms

Effective Date: October 2, 2026

1. Issuance of Credential

This credential is issued by TBF Event Management, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (the "Company"), which produces and operates The Basketball Festival events. "The Basketball Festival" name, logos, and related intellectual property are owned by The Basketball Festival, LLC ("Brand Owner") and used by the Company under license. Brand Owner does not produce or operate any event and does not issue credentials.

The credential is issued to an approved individual (the "Representative") solely to provide access to the specific event or events for which it is issued (the "Event") in order to perform a legitimate working function. A credential may be issued to an accredited media organization (the "Agency"), which then assigns it to its approved Representative.

2. Non-Transferable; Revocation

The credential is the property of the Company. It is non-transferable, must be worn visibly at all times at the Event, and must be presented on request with valid photo identification. The Company may deny, limit, or revoke a credential at any time, for any reason or no reason. Lost or stolen credentials may not be honored or replaced.

Unauthorized use of a credential, including transferring it, altering it, or entering areas it does not authorize, may result in confiscation of the credential, removal from the venue, prosecution for criminal trespass or other legal action, and denial of credentials to the Representative and the Agency for future events, as the Company decides in its sole discretion.

3. Conduct at the Event

The Representative must:

  • Follow the instructions of Company staff, security, and venue personnel, and all venue rules and posted policies.

  • Remain in the areas the credential authorizes, and stay off the playing court and team areas unless escorted or specifically permitted.

  • Not interfere with players, officials, game operations, or the Company's television, streaming, and media partners.

  • Not solicit contributions, sell goods, distribute literature, or conduct promotions at or near the Event.

  • Not seek autographs or memorabilia, or act as a fan, while working under the credential.

  • Behave professionally and not engage in harassment, discrimination, or unsafe conduct.

The Company may remove any Representative who violates these rules.

4. Permitted Use of Agency Materials

Editorial use only. For credentialed media, the credential permits the Agency to use descriptions, accounts, photographs, audio and video recordings, and drawings of the Event, including interviews and press conferences, created by the Representative while attending the Event ("Agency Materials"), solely for news and editorial coverage of the Event. Agency Materials may not be used for advertising, promotion, sponsorship, merchandise, endorsement, or any other commercial purpose, or licensed or sold to others for such purposes, without the Company's advance written permission.

Video limits. Film, video, and digital recordings among the Agency Materials ("Video Materials") may be used only in a regularly scheduled newscast or news program, or in news coverage distributed online or through other video technology, subject to these limits:

  • Each use may not exceed one minute and thirty seconds of Event action in total.

  • No game, or any complete quarter or half of a game, may be shown in its entirety.

  • The right to display Video Materials expires 14 days after the Event and may be revoked by the Company at any time.

No live transmission. While a game or the live broadcast or stream of the Event is in progress, the Representative may not transmit or post any video, audio, or live stream of game action without the Company's advance written permission. Still photographs and text updates during play are permitted.

Broadcast partners. The Agency and Representative may not record, display, or retransmit any audio, video, or other content produced or transmitted by the Company's television, streaming, or other media partners.

5. Ownership

As between the Agency, the Representative, the Company, and Brand Owner:

  • Brand Owner exclusively owns "The Basketball Festival" name, logos, trademarks, and uniform and trade dress designs.

  • The Company and Brand Owner own all rights in the Event itself and in all official broadcasts, streams, recordings, photographs, statistics, and other content produced by or for them in connection with the Event.

  • The Agency owns the Agency Materials it creates under this credential, except to the extent they incorporate content owned by the Company or Brand Owner, and its use of them is limited by Section 4.

Nothing in these terms permits the Agency or Representative to use The Basketball Festival trademarks or logos, other than in factual references in news coverage, or to suggest that the Company or Brand Owner sponsors or endorses the Agency or its coverage.

6. Use of Likeness

The Representative grants the Company, Brand Owner, and their media partners the right to use the Representative's name, image, likeness, and voice as captured in any live or recorded broadcast, stream, photograph, or other depiction of the Event, in any media, without compensation.

7. Assumption of Risk and Release

Attending a basketball event, especially near the court, involves risks, including being struck by players, balls, or equipment. The Agency and Representative voluntarily assume all such risks. To the fullest extent permitted by law, they release the Company, Brand Owner, the venue, and their respective members, managers, officers, employees, and agents (the "Released Parties") from all claims arising from attendance at the Event or the creation or use of Agency Materials, except claims caused by a Released Party's gross negligence or willful misconduct.

8. Indemnity

The Agency, and the Representative if not acting for an Agency, agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from all claims, losses, damages, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from the Representative's conduct at the Event, any breach of these terms, or the Agency's use of Agency Materials, including claims that Agency Materials infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.

9. General

  • Acceptance. By applying for, accepting, or using this credential, the Agency and Representative agree to these terms. The Agency is responsible for its Representative's compliance.

  • Brand Owner. Brand Owner is an intended third-party beneficiary of Sections 5 through 8 and may enforce them directly, but has no obligations under these terms.

  • Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

  • Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

  • Changes. The Company may update these terms for future Events. The version in effect when the credential is issued applies.
